On the 3^rd May Smallfield staged its first meeting of the 2008 season. There was as good turnout of cars in all the formulas, especially for the bangers, which had 23 cars. This is the first meeting at the track since the new altercations to bottom bend have been made and it has already proved it provides decent action! Highlights of the days action has to be the 2 litre bangers final, which sees all the cars on track getting involved in the crashing with the crowd cheering them on every step of the way! The nudge & spin DD also provides two massive head-ons and the bangers DD is also very short but lively! All the formulas feature on this DVD from a 2 camera edit. On the 26^th April Nutts Corner oval in Belfast held the biggest banger meeting of the season on the Emerald Isle in 2009, SHAMWRECK 2009!This years event was a little down on last years number of cars but the action certainly doesn’t ease off! There were many smart cars on show including 4 identical mk2 limos from Team Buckle and 321 Brett Fry’s lush Datsun! As usual there was a raiding party from England in the shape of the Bears and the Levellers! The action is fast and heavy all day and all the hits are caught here, including 688 Morphet’s big burial of no.20. 28 Ozzie decimating the no.92 hearse from the Headwreckers. The heat 2 wrecking train and the all-comers pile-up are also caught on camera! This DVD also has a fence camera position on the wall during racing, which brings you one step closer to the action! On the 19^th April A.P.Videos made their second visit to the midlands based Trent Raceway. The meeting novices.proved to be a lively affair with spectacular action in all the formulas. With some heavy incidents in the The DVD also includes in-car footage from 801 in the 2 litre bangers giving you a great drivers eye view of the action and is involved in some of the bigger incidents of the day. On the 27^th July, Layhams Farm hosted its annual Lisa Pearce memorial for the unlimited bangers. Once agin there was a good entery from the local contingent, and visiting team The Bears. There was nice array of motors on show including a Rover P5, Laurel, Volvo Amozon and a Daimler majestic. As expected the action comes thick and fast and highlights are, the heat 1 pile up which sees all the cars go in and end in the race having to be re-run. 442’s roll over and 682 Winks getting over the banking on the home straight and ripping down the catch-net fencing! 331 Shane fry’s big hit on 27 Bog Rat is another rated crash. As like many of our other DVDs it includes in-car footage from Bears duo 721 Grant Butler and 421 Nigel Riley, and captures Nige’s big hit in heat 1 on no.39 which sees his Granada wrecked completely! On the 20th July Smallfield staged its first ever A.P.VIDEOS open for the unlimited and 2 litre bangers, there was a good turn out for both classes with some impressive machinery in the unlimiteds. 521 Ace Ash’s Daimler majestic, 499 Plods Chevy Caprice and 721 Thugs mustang were among these. A focus point of the day was the appearance of the northern crashing outfit Stinkbridge, who were on a mission feuding with the Bears. Highlights are never far away with pick of the bunch being 79 Twelly's epic banking of 60 ShankeyJnr which sees the latter’s Mondeo launched into orbit! 28 Ozzie’s massive Blitz’s in the unlimiteds final/DD on 450 and 814. The wrecking train in the second unlimited heat and much more! There is also in-car footage from Stinkbridge star 450 Glynn Platts, which captures all his antics with the Bears. On the 22nd June Smallfield staged its annual team meeting for the 2 litre bangers. After a slow start to the year, this meeting really kicked the track back into action with classic Smallfield action all day. With only 6 teams present this was a case of quality and not quantity. There is plenty of action to be enjoyed all day, mostly revolving around the mass Predators invasion for the day. Highlights include 404 Spook’s stunning shot on 174 Dave Dawes, leaving the latters Cortina estate a huge wreck! The big head-on between 79 and 321 Brett fry in the DD, and the rated Predator stunt show in the final which sees them launch themselves over the bottom bank. There is also in-car footage from Smallfield regular 288 Carl Sowter, pick of the action has to be his head on with 96 Brat which is captured spuperbly! (cover photos by Steve Evett) DVD £10

On the 11^th May Startrax held the 8^th staging of the Battle of Britain event at well-appointed Owlerton Stadium! As in years before this meeting has been labelled the hardest hitting team meeting around, and this years event is none different! There were many different team on show this year including, Demons, Bad News, Scrapyard Screamers, Hooligans, Levellers and a large presence of Stinkbridge for there annual Michael ‘Totty’ Barber memorial. The action comes thick and fast, highlights being 350 Dan Peels huge shot on 277 Des Owen in heat 1, the simply epic follow-in on 91 by 691 Snapper and 474 Matty, Stinkbridge and Levellers trading blows all day and much more!
